Solve the quadratic equation:. 2x²-13x+15=0

Q. Solve the quadratic equation:. 2x²-13x+15=0

Solution:

2x²-13x+15=0
⇒2x²-(10+3)x+15=0
⇒2x²-10x-3x+15=0
⇒2x(x-5)-3(x-5)=0
⇒(x-5)(2x-3)=0

either, x-5=0⇒x=5
or, 2x-3=0⇒2x=3⇒x=3/2

so, the solutions are 5 and 3/2
